It's wonderful to read your updates and so exciting that you're writing full time right now! I lived in Noho for 10 years and it's such a lovely place. Enjoy on all accounts!
Great to hear from you! & that’s awesome! How long ago did you live here? I heard the place changed a lot due to Covid.
When I first moved to Northampton, it was such a trip that the Smith student body dressed exactly like all my queer peers in Olympia circa 2001! In fact, my first girlfriend when I was 16 left to come to school here lol. I caught myself feeling old and trolly then I remembered I’m 41 and don’t need to look like an 18-21 year old 🤣
I lived there til the end of 2019! I just moved over to Boston because my spouse has a job here and I can work from anywhere. So literally got out right before Covid, but I come back a few times a year to house sit for folks. I moved there in 2010 for my MFA and stayed for my MA + PhD all at UMass. It's so wild when I go back now and see all the Smithies wearing the same clothes I wore as a teen--but I guess we're at that age now where things have cycled back. Have fun in Western MA! The Montague Bookmill is literally my fave place on earth!
